A shoplifting incident was reported at Lowe’s on East Andrew Johnson Highway.
The Greeneville Police Department responded to the store Thursday in regard to a shoplifting incident that occured Wednesday afternoon. A loss prevention employee said a white male entered the store through the tool department. Over the course of an hour, the suspect took around $300 worth of merchandise. He passed all points of sale and walked out of the store without paying.
The employee stopped the man outside and recovered approximately $230 worth of merchandise. The suspect was asked to step inside, but the man fled on foot toward East Andrew Johnson Highway. The man had arrived at the store on a motorcycle with a white female.
