A Brightspeed bucket truck and contents were destroyed by fire Thursday on Charlie Doty Road.
Newmansville Volunteer Firefighters responded to the 2:20 pm 9-1-1 dispatch at the Barkley Road intersection where they found the fire fully involved.
Richard Humphreys told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department a woman driving behind his vehicle began to honk repeatedly and pointing to his truck. It was then that Humphreys noticed the black smoke, stopped the vehicle, grabbed his laptop and exited the vehicle without injury.
