Emergency personnel were on the scene of two separate motor vehicle accidents on I-81 in Greene County this morning, both in the north bound lanes about three and a half miles apart.
Northbound traffic was slowed and at times totally shut down while authorities worked both accidents.
The first wreck was reported at 7:43 near mile marker 44 and the second one at 8:27 am was at the 40.5 mile marker.
The Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad , EMS , area volunteer fire departments, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol were among those who have responded.
Wreck reports are not yet available from the THP.
