There were a few anxious moments during the 9 o’clock hour Wednesday morning for a woman in the wrong elevator at the wrong time.
The Greeneville Fire Department and Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad responded to the Takoma Medical Group on East Vann Road around 9:20 am. Engine 2, Tower 1, and Battalion 1 all responded. Upon arrival, it was discovered that there had apparently been some type of power loss in the building.
Emergency personnel confirmed there was at least one occupant in one of the elevators. After securing the power to both elevators, crews found one of the elevator cars stuck in between floors 2 and 3, containing one female occupant. Crews were able to remove the woman and then verified there were no additional occupants in the second elevator car.
There were no additional services needed from emergency personnel and all units cleared the scene shortly before 10:00 am.
