Traffic on interstate 81 was shut down for over three hours on Saturday. An RV towing a vehicle caught fire around 11:30 AM near the Fish Hatchery Road intersection. The interstate was completely closed for several hours while firefighters extinguished the blaze and clean-up took place.
Traffic backed up beyond exit 23, which resulted in additional traffic congestion on West Andrew Johnson Highway as motorist attempted to go through Bulls Gap in Morristown. Other traffic began to exit at the Rogersville Road exit, which also caused congestion on Gap Creek Road.
