Three people were arrested following a traffic stop Tuesday.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle in the 10000 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway around 3:30 PM for an expired registration. The driver, Karen Easterly of Sequoia Trail, gave permission to search the vehicle.
A passenger, Joseph Robinson of Waddell Love Road, was arrested for an active failure to appear warrant. Another passenger, Jack Laws of Love Street, was found to be in possession of a baggie containing pills that he identified as suboxone.
Three individually packaged pills identified as buprenorphine were found in the driver’s seat. A purse Easterly claimed ownership of contained seven more of the same pills individually packaged.
Laws was charged with simple possession of a schedule 3 drug and Easterly was charged with the manufacture, delivery or sale of a controlled substance.
