A man was arrested Friday evening for driving under the influence during an investigation at a Greeneville residence.
Officers were told that 37-year-old Wesley Angel had left the home on Forest Street around 7:30 Friday night after an argument. According to court records, Angel is prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol and also prohibited from threatening, abusing, hurting or frightening several people who were at the home at the time. Officers were shown that multiple empty vodka shooter bottles were hidden under a couch cushion where Angel had been napping.
After taking a report, police were notified that Angel had returned to the home and was sitting in a vehicle with the keys in the ignition. Angel, who reportedly admitted drinking three shots of vodka, registered a .294 on a breath sample and was charged with driving under the influence and violating a court order.
