A man driving a vehicle that was reported to be “all over the roadway” was arrested with driving under the influence on Sunday.
Greeneville Police Officers were notified that the driver of the SUV hit a curb and went off into the grass in front of the Greeneville Community East Hospital. The suspect, later identified as Thomas Larkin of Greeneville, was located driving on Tusculum Boulevard. He reportedly drove onto the Andrew Johnson Highway where he was seen driving in the middle of the lanes.
A traffic stop was initiated and after an extended amount of time, Larkin eventually pulled into the Waffle House Parking Lot. During inventory of the car there were allegedly open bottles of Fireball found in bag on the passenger seat. The officer reported sobriety tests were attempted but minimal due Larkin’s lack of balance and inability to follow directions.
Larkin was charged with violation of implied consent due to not consenting to a blood draw. A search warrant was obtained and the blood draw was done at Hospital. He was additionally charged with DUI.
