The Greene County Anti-Drug Coalition recently discussed the “Talk. They Hear You” Mobile app during their November meeting.
“Talk. They Hear You.” is a free mobile app that helps parents and caregivers prepare for important conversations with their children about underage drinking. The app is geared toward parents/guardians with children and teens from 9 to 15 years old and provides the tools and information they need to start speaking with their children about the dangers of alcohol early.
The app includes materials that helps reinforce underage drinking prevention campaign messages. Parents and caregivers can:
Practice bringing up the topic of alcohol using avatars in an interactive simulation
Learn the questions to ask
Get ideas to keep the conversation going
