A passanger was taken to the hospital around midnight Monday after falling off the bed of a truck near McDonald Road.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, a Toyota Tacoma driven by 20 year-old Rodney Scudgington, was traveling west on McDonald Road with three passengers sitting in the bed of the truck. The driver made a left turn at a curve causing a 16 year-old passenger to fall off the pick-up. The juvenile was reportedly injured and had to be transported to the Johnson City Medical Center.
The THP report states charges are pending for Scudgington. He and the passengers were not injured in the crash.
