JONESBOROUGH – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Hayse H. Lowe, 55, and charged him with Civil Rights Intimidation, False Imprisonment and Simple Domestic Assault.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, Deputies located Lowe in the 3300 block of McKinley Road shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. Others in the residence told Deputies Lowe was in the basement of the home, and K9 Murphy was utilized to get Lowe to emerge from the residence without incident.
The charges stem from multiple incidences that occurred over the course of several months and were reported to WCSO by the victim on the morning of Nov. 6. The victim reported physical abuse and being locked in the residence to prevent her from leaving.
Deputies discovered that Lowe has a history of domestic violence charges and convictions from Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.
Lowe was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 7.
