A thief made off with over $2500 in over-the-counter medicine from a local pharmacy Thursday evening.
Greeneville Police took a report Friday morning from CVS Pharmacy on the Asheville Highway of shoplifting.
At about 6:53 PM Thursday, a male with dark hair, a hat, blue jeans, and blue shirt walked into the store wearing a black mask. He proceeded to walk around the store with a white trash bag, and filled the bag with various over-the-counter drugs, including vitamins and stomach and allergy medications. Approximately 7 minutes later, the suspect walked out of the store with the trash bag and an estimated $2,600 worth of stolen medicines.
The investigation is continuing.
