Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison signed a proclamation designating this week as National Correctional Officers and Employees Week
The proclamation states this week honors the work of Greene County’s dedicated, hardworking, and valued personnel for their service with honor, respect, and integrity, while raising awareness of the duties, hazards, and sacrificies made by correctional employees. The proclamation recognizes correctional officers and employees for their role in safeguarding the citizens of Greene County by providing safe, secure, and humane incarceration of offenders.
Greene County has a dedicated team of 86 correctional officers and employees.
