Minimal damage was reported to a residence at 80 Clay Way after a neighbor put out a fire Friday morning.
The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department she was contacted by her neighbor, who told her the house was on fire and the smoke alarms were going off. The neighbor was able to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher.
According to the report, the fire is believed to have been caused by batteries for a massage gun. The two batteries, which were plugged into an outlet, had reportedly exploded.
There was minimal damage to the home and no injuries were reported.
