While the TDOT paving continues during the week ahead on Main Street in Greeneville , the Greeneville Water Commission will continue sewer rehab work on nearby side streets.
Sewer Rehab work will be on Doughty Avenue – From N Main Street to Irish Street Charles Street – From N Main Street to Irish Street W McKee Street – From N Main Street to Irish Street Project beginning Monday.
This phase of work is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Thru traffic will not be permitted during this phase. Residents and business patrons will maintain access to properties within the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access at all times. A brief closure will occur where the work intersects with N Main Street; this section will be reopened as quickly as possible. Work will progress in sections to minimize disruption. The contractor will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.
