Murfreesboro, TN – December 11-13, 2024 – Members of the Greene County Recovery Court Team participated in the annual Tennessee Association of Recovery Court Professionals (TARCP) Conference held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, from December 11-13. This prestigious event brought together professionals from across the state to share knowledge, network, and discuss best practices for supporting individuals in recovery.
The TARCP Conference is a cornerstone event for recovery court professionals, offering a platform for learning and professional development. The conference aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of recovery court teams, including judges, attorneys, treatment providers, probation officers, and other community partners. By attending, the Greene County Recovery Court Team had the opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest research, tools, and strategies for helping individuals overcome substance use disorders and rebuild their lives. “This yearly conference is very valuable for our team. Not only do we learn about the latest discoveries about the science of addiction, but we also hear about drug trends and we can collaborate with other teams about their best practices so that we can enhance our team which benefits our clients. Each year I leave this conference convinced that The Greene County Recovery Court team has as much experience, wisdom, and insight as any Recovery Court in the State of Tennessee.”- Judge Kenneth Bailey. Judge Bailey will also be joining the Board of Directors for TARCP.

About Greene County Recovery Court
The Greene County Recovery Court provides an alternative to incarceration for individuals with substance use disorders, offering a comprehensive program that includes intensive supervision, treatment services, and life skills training. The program is designed to reduce recidivism and help participants lead healthy, productive lives in the community. Greene County Recovery Court was created in 2004 and currently has 34 participants.
