Power repairs continued past dark Saturday night by the Greeneville Energy Authority and others, following storm damage from a severe thunderstorm that left downed trees, limbs, and debris strewn in its wake.
This picture, courtesy GEA is at the Church Street and Barton Ridge intersection where repairs continued Saturday night until power was restored to the majority of customers in the Courthouse District. Two main line poles had to be replaced before power could be restored to those customers.
The Court House District led the county in the number of outages all day Saturday. Most of GEA’s over-40,000 customers had power restored by Sunday morning. Still, a few homes in the Court House District, Greystone, McDonald, Woodlawn, and a few others across the county, continue to be tackled today.
