Injuries were reported in a vehicle crash Thursday night on Chuckey Pike and Ernest Road.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary report, a 2014 Ram 1500 truck driven by 55-year-old Billy Griffith was traveling south on Chckey Pike. The truck left the roadway in a curve and ran off the right side of the road, striking a standing tree and utility pole guy-wire.
The report did not indicate the seriousness of the injuries sustained by Griffith. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation, possibly resulting in Driving Under the Influence, and failure to conduct due care.
