9-1-1 Director Jerry Bird and some members of his staff attended the Tuesday meeting of the Greeneville City Council.
As they had been at a recent 9-1-1 board meeting, the local first responders group was recognized by Mayor Cal Doty and the council for the recent award from the Tennessee Emergency Number Association as a Dispatch Event of the Year award winner.
9-1-1 Board Chair Tim Ward also serves as a member of the Greeneville City Council and took time Tuesday to again thank them for their response during Hurricane Helene.
