Public voting for Main Street Greeneville’s sixteenth annual “Scarecrows of Main” competition is open. Vote for your favorite scarecrows, in all categories, via the following link at https://forms.gle/NQVmKq9yFjZjpfUw6 or by dropping off your votes to the Main Street office at 310 S Main Street.
The QR Code at the display will take you directly to the ballot. All codes are the same so once you have scanned one you have all the entries listed and ready for your votes. Select the Entry Number or display name to cast your vote. There are several categories so pick your favorite in each category. Voting remains open through Wednesday, October 22nd. There are 6 different categories: residential, group/organization, and business. Votes will be tabulated based on the category selected on the entry form. Twenty-two scarecrows were registered for the contest. This year’s contest is sponsored by Broyles General Store located at 730 West Main St. The winner in each category will receive a $25.00 Broyles General Store gift certificate, a winner’s certificate, and bragging rights. Winning entries will be marked and identified.
One overall winner will be judged by out-of-the-area judges.

Jann Mirkov, Executive Director with Main Street: Greeneville said, “We would encourage people to head into downtown Greeneville to see the displays, take selfies and vote for your favorites in all the different categories. The arts and creativity are alive and well here. I have the best view from my office window watching adults placing children into the displays to capture just the right fall photo. That is a bonus to the contest. Thank you to our contest sponsor, Broyles General Store, the businesses, groups, and individuals who help us enjoy autumn. Come see the scarecrows, pick your favorites, and vote at https://forms.gle/NQVmKq9yFjZjpfUw6 .”
