A yard sale fundraiser will be held in Greeneville next month to raise proceeds to support local animal rescue efforts.
The event is organized to raise funds for animals brought in by animal control. Many of these animals need to be spayed or neutered, and in some cases, emergency veterinary care is required due to serious medical conditions. The goal is to have funds available ahead of time so that animals can receive necessary treatment as soon as they arrive.
Event organizer Bonnie Coggins tells Radio Greeneville News that several fundraisers like this are held throughout the year to support the ongoing needs of rescue animals. Coggins actively works with several rescue organizations, serving as a voice for Pets Winfrey, and is involved with the nonprofit Greene County Animal Welfare Coalition. She also fosters dogs for Paws League and regularly rescues animals at risk of euthanasia.
Coggins encourages residents to attend the sale and help support local efforts to provide care for these animals.
This yard sale is a chance for the public to contribute to a practical cause while finding great items. Every purchase helps provide essential medical care for animals in need.
