Units from St. James and the Caney Branch Volunteer Fire Departments responded shortly before 7:30 this morning to Nolachuckey Elementary School.
9-1-1 was called by a school employee after an electrical sparking noise was noticed in a bathroom.
First responders said the problem was related to a wall heater.
As is protocol, Greeneville Fire was also initially called to the scene, but cancelled after St. James evaluated the situation.
Firefighters remained on the scene as of 7:45 am
