According to press releases issued today, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and Mosheim and Tusculum Police Departments conducted a county-wide sting on December 22 and 23 in which underage alcohol and hemp product buys were attempted.
The following stores DID NOT sell alcohol or hemp-derived cannabinoids to persons under age 21:
* Forest Hills Corner Discount Tobacco & Vape Shop – 1302 Snapps Ferry Road
* Gulf Station – 801 Tusculum Boulevard
* Super Marathon #1 – 10025 Lonesome Pine Trail
* U-Shop #6 – 4050 Erwin Highway
* Greystone Market – 790 Greystone Road
* THA GAP Bar and Grill – 16130 West Andrew Johnson Highway, Bulls Gap
* Stop and Go Market – 8235 West Andrew Johnson Highway, Mosheim
* Mosheim Market and Deli – 7120 Blue Springs Parkway, Mosheim
The following stores DID sell alcohol and/or hemp-derived cannabinoids to persons under age 21:
* Gold’s Tobacco and Vapor – 619 Asheville Highway – Mousa Ahmed Mohammed Ali of Blue Springs Parkway was charged.
* Ian’s Market, 1401 Tusculum Boulevard – Tiffany S. Gunter of White Sands Road was charged.
* Creekside Market #2 – 8691 Asheville Highway – Kandace Marie Wilhoit of Chandler Circle was charged.
* Breakers, Billiards and Brews – 7485 West Andrew Johnson Highway – one count of the sale of alcohol to a minor.
According to the press releases, underage buy investigations will continue regularly and at different locations around Greene County.
