Authorities say a body recovered from the Nolichucky River in Washington County was not related to the September flooding.
The remains were recovered from the river off Arnold Road between Embreeville and Lamar Friday.
Sheriff Keith Sexton says the death is not related to the flood waters from Hurricane Helene. The body was transported to the William Jenkins Forensics Center for autopsy.
