Comments from Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison
“Leaders, It is with great sadness that I announce to you that Mr. Sam Riley, Planning Commission Chair, has passed away at his home. Sam was a friend of mine and we served together on the County Commission for 8 years. Recently, he has served as the Chair of the Planning Commission and led the Commission and the County through several planning and zoning growing pains as a result of the influx of new residents and expansion across the county. Sam was also a long-time realtor in the area having worked mostly in Greeneville and Boones Creek. Please join me in extending condolences and prayers to his family.”
