A Limestone man is facing several drug charges following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department was on patrol on West Summer Street around 2:45 PM when he got behind a pickup truck with taillights that had been tinted and were barely visible.
The truck was stopped for improper taillights near the Summer Street Bridge and the driver was identified as Donald Dean of Steen Road. He denied consent for an officer to search the vehicle and a K9 was requested to the scene due to Dean’s previous drug history.
The K9 officer gave a positive alert on the truck. A subsequent search produced a pill believed to oxycodone, psychedelic mushrooms, four grams of marijuana, a glass pipe, and scales.
Dean was arrested for possession of schedule 1, 2 and 6 drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper taillights.
