Fifty-one students from Greene County were among the graduating class of the fall 2024 at Walters State Community College.
The cap-and-gown clad students were instructed by Dr. Tony Miksa, college president, to move their tassels from the right to the left signifying the completion of their academic journey at Walters State. The college conferred 478 degrees and certificates during two commencement ceremonies held on Dec. 12 in the “Z” Buda Assembly Hall and Gymnasium on the Morristown Campus. Ross, head of the college’s management program and professor of business, asked graduates to keep three points in mind as they set out on new journeys.
