The Greene County Sheriff’s Department has arrested two people and are searching for a third person in connection with a Friday morning shooting that was reported during a suspected burglary.
Mikaila Chapman Delotto, 23, of Widow Hollow Road, and Stephen “Chastin” Turner, 20, of Old Midway Road are charged with Especially Aggravated Robbery, Especially Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Theft Under $1,000, and Criminal Reponsibilty for Attempted First Degree Murder. Their bonds were set at $255,000 each and they are scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Friday.
A third person, Trevonde “TJ” Connor, 29, whose address was given as both Knoxville and Michigan, has a warrant for his arrest on charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Especially Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, and Theft Under $1,000.
Greene County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a home located in the 7000 block of Old Stage Road around 3:40 AM Friday. The caller stated that someone had entered his home and that he had gone to a neighbor’s house to call for help because his girlfriend was still inside.
About 10 minutes later, a female called from the residence saying she had been shot twice. Deputies arrived on scene to find a 24-year-old female with gunshot wounds to her hand and back. The victim was flown to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment where she was in stable condition.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division responded and is investigating this incident.
