A Knoxville man is facing theft and drug charges following an incident in Greene County early this morning.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was on routine patrol on the Newport Highway in the Glen Hills area around 2:30 AM when he saw a van turn around in the middle of the road and pull in front a Mustang up to the front bumper.
The driver of the van said he had been chasing the driver of the Mustang, Billy Boykin of Knoxville, because he had stolen a drill valued at $200 from his property. The tool was found lying along the side of the road.
