A Mosheim man was arrested Sunday afternoon after an incident in which he allegedly slammed a dog against the pavement during a verbal altercation.
Deputies went to a home on Whitehouse Road around 10:30 Friday night and were told by a woman that 18-year-old Evan Fortenberry of Oak Hill Street in Mosheim had gotten mad at her for having dogs in her house. During the argument, Fortenberry allegedly went to his truck, took out his own dog and slammed him against the pavement twice.
Fortenberry was gone when officers arrived, but was located Sunday at a home on McDonald Road and served a warrant for animal cruelty.
