A Mosheim man is facing charges after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident on Friday.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 5900 block of Lonesome Pine Trail shortly after 8:00 PM. A man, identified as Paul Keplinger of Wilkerson Road, was located approximately 1 mile from the scene of his crashed Chevrolet Cavalier. A witness stated to deputies that Keplinger told him not to call the cops after the wreck.
Keplinger initially refused to give deputies his name. After eventually giving his information, Kepliner was discovered to have a suspended driver’s license. Keplinger reportedly had a baggie with a pipe in his pocket. A container with 2 grams of methamphetamine was found inside his back pack. Deputies also found a lock box with two more glass pipes in the wrecked car.
Keplinger was transported to the Greene County Detention Center for leaving the scene of an accident involving damage, the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license 2nd offense.
