A Chuckey woman was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault on Tuesday after she started shooting outside because she thought someone took her dog.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies responded to the 600 block of Fox Road around 11 PM on Tuesday. The alleged suspect Mary Webb was detained immediately due to deputies having knowledge she may have had a gun and was shooting. The victim involved stated Webb lives in a building near by and they got into a verbal altercation due to Webb thinking the victim took her dog.
Webb was reportedly screaming, threatened to shoot anyone who may have taken the dog, then fired three rounds, putting the victim in fear of bodily injury. Webb did admit to deputies she was shooting with the weapon but said it was just so she can clear the gun. A rifle was found in an open case in the garage. Due to witness statements and the allegations, Webb was arrested and taken into custody.
