The Greene County Budget and Finance Committee, in a very short meeting Thursday morning at the Annex, took official action on putting the wraps on the 2024-2025 fiscal year budget with what they affectionately call the “End of Year Cleanup”. The fiscal year officially ends Monday.

The only other matter brought up during the meeting was a question from Greene County Highway Assistant Superintendent Gary Rector concerning purchase of a much needed distribution truck for paving. The purchase required no commission approval , so he was told just a line item transfer within the departments budget will suffice.
