A man is facing numerous charges, including child endangerment, following a wreck over the weekend on Houston Valley Road.
The accident occurred Saturday around 4:00 PM at Houston Valley Road and Tarlton Circle when a westbound Toyota Corolla driven by 31-year-old Christopher K. Moir Jr went off the right side of the road into a ditch line and continued westbound, colliding with a downed tree. The tree entered through the windshield of the passenger side, injuring Moir. The vehicle spun and came to an uncontrolled final rest facing northbound, partially in the roadway.
A 7-year-old juvenile passenger in the car was not injured.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Moir was later transported to the Greene County Detention Center for DUI, child endangerment, possession of a handgun while intoxicated, violation of implied consent, failure to exercise due care, and failure to maintain lane.
