Pottertown Road was closed yesterday evening after an accident near the entrance to SRK but the road is now open according to emergency responders who were on the scene. No detours should be necessary this morning.
The accident occurred around 4:40 PM when a tractor trailer reportedly hauling apple juice left the roadway. The trailer was carrying a full load. Cleanup and offloading of the cargo continued until after 10:00 PM. We will have more details once a report is available from the Mosheim Police Department.
Due to the cleanup, thru traffic was not allowed on Pottertown Road. The Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad, EMS, Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department, and Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded.

Pottertown Road remains closed this evening after an accident Thursday afternoon.
A tractor-trailer left the roadway near the entrance to SRK around 4:40 PM. The trailer was carrying a full load and cleanup and offloading of the cargo was continuing until after 10:00 PM. The trailer was reportedly hauling apple juice.
Due to the cleanup, thru traffic is not allowed on Pottertown Road. Employees who must report to 3rd shift at SRK can enter from the 11-E end to access SRK’s entrance, but all other traffic must use either Bridge Burner’s Boulevard or the west end of Pottertown Road off North Mohawk Road.
The Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad, EMS, Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department, and Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded.
