Another road rage incident was reported this week by a Surgoinsville man who said he was allegedly hit by the suspect’s vehicle and had to hold onto the hood as the man kept driving.
According to the report, a deputy responded to aggravated assault on the 14000 block of Lonesome Pine Trail to speak with the complainant, who stated he was in a road rage incident with a man he believed to be about 40-50 years old. The victim said he got out of his vehicle to confront the suspect, who was driving a white Honda, possibly a 2014 Civic or Accord.
The suspect reportedly drove toward the victim, hitting him in the shins. The victim said he had to hold onto the hood to prevent being run over. The suspect allegedly drove about 50 yards before slowing down. The victim said he was then able to release the hood and rolled off, busting his knee on the way down. The suspect then drove away.
According to the report, the victim went to the Rogersville Memorial Hospital where he was told his tibia was broken. The suspect was unknown at the time of the report. No information was provided regarding what started the road rage incident.
