Fugitive Sean Williams is in custody. He was located and arrested in Pinellas County, Florida, Tuesday. The FBI provided an update Tuesday afternoon on escaped fugitive Williams stating that he was believed to be in in Florida.
Williams was reportedly spotted in Pinellas County, which is located near Tampa. Late last week, the TBI said Williams was spotted in the Sylva, North Carolina area.
On Friday afternoon, a Davis Street woman reported her 1999 green Toyota Tacoma stolen. She had last seen the car Thursday night. Early Tuesday morning, the Greeneville Police Department received confirmation from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department in Florida that they had recovered the stolen car. The vehicle was unoccupied when discovered. However, neither the TBI nor FBI have said at this time if the vehicle is suspected to have been stolen by Williams, or where he has been since fleeing from authorities last month.
Williams has been on the run from authorities since October 18, when he escaped from custody while being transported from the Laurel County, Kentucky Jail to the federal courthouse in Greeneville.
Williams is a former Johnson City businessman facing numerous charges, including rape of a child, especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13, and distribution of meth. He also now faces a federal escape charge.
