A Warrant Arrest Was Made After a Traffic Stop Saturday just after midnight.
Police initiated a traffic stop on West Andrew Johnson Highway for running a stop sign on Speedway Lane in Bulls Gap.
Officers spoke with the driver who was identified as James White of Bulls Gap. White had an identification only card with him, and it was discovered he had a revoked license.
White was asked to exit the vehicle, and a search found two yellow pills in a box, believed to be gabapentin, which White reportedly said he had a prescription for, but could not produce.
White was found to have a Failure to Appear Warrant out of Hawkins County, and was placed into custody.
