Officers responded to drug violations at Relax Inn on Serral Drive Monday around midnight.
While patrolling the parking lot an officer noticed spray paint on a vehicle and ran the tag, they confirmed the tag was registered to another vehicle but was not stolen. According to the report, officers requested a K9 to the scene due to drug activity that occurs at the hotel. K9 Pasa gave a positive alert on the spray painted vehicle.
Video footage was requested for the parking lot and officers saw a male and female exit the car and go into a hotel room. They were told about the positive alert of the vehicle and did not give consent to search. The male was found to have a warrant for Violation of Probation and was arrested. The female that was with him reportedly fled the scene.
During an investigation, officers got a search warrant signed from a judge to search the vehicle.
