The National Weather Service in Morristown is advising our region to expect the rain today to change over to snow showers across the higher elevations of east Tennessee, with impactful accumulations for elevations above 3000 feet. Gusty winds will accompany the snowfall, with gusts close to 40 mph.
Snow will end Monday morning. However, temperatures will remain near or below freezing at the higher elevations of eastern Tennessee.
