There is a Hazardous Weather outlook for the area Tonight and Tomorrow.
According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, Ongoing showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight in western areas of Greene County and surrounding areas.
The national weather service has reported that the highest possibility of severe weather is overnight.
While these storms may become strong to severe, the primary threat at this time is damaging winds, heavy rainfall and hail.
Another round of storms is expected to move through the area
tonight, which is expected from midnight to 5 AM. These storms will likely be capable of producing large hail and frequent lightning.
A few damaging wind gusts will also be possible. Locations in and
near the Cumberland Plateau will have the highest chance of
severe weather tonight, although the national weather service has reported that the threat of a tornado is minimal.
