The Greene County Commission will meet this evening and commissioners will consider transferring $250,000 from the joint Greene County-Greeneville Landfill Reserve Fund, to partially pay for the renovation and repairs at the jointly owned transfer station.
The total cost is about $557,000. Greene County and the Town of Greeneville will each pay one-half of the remaining balance, which is about $277,000. Commissioners will discuss several resolutions including amending the membership of the Greeneville-Greene County Regional Solid Waste Advisory Board and appropriating almost $151,000 for Law Enforcement equipment from the Sheriff’s Department.
The commission will also consider appropriating almost $5,000 to Emergency Medical Services from the sale of surplus property and consider appropriating $150,000 in Hotel/Motel revenue for the FYE June 30, 2023.
Additionally, to be considered is the increase in the State of Tennessee Department of Health Grant of $36,335 for FYE June 30,2023. Commissioners will meet at 6 PM in the Criminal Courtroom at the Greene County Courthouse.
