At 4:00 AM this morning, officers stopped a vehicle for traveling with its passenger side headlight out.
Officers stopped the black Honda on West Andrew Johnson Highway near Kingsley Avenue. The driver was identified as Marcus E. Allen of Newport. It was found that Allen had his driver’s license suspended in 2015, and since then had three Driving on Suspended charges, and a total of seven Expired, No Driver’s License, and Failure to Show Identity tickets.
Allen was placed under arrest for Driving on a Suspended License, fourth offense and failure to have required lights on a motor vehicle.
