A Limestone woman was charged with drug possession after reportedly overdosing.
The Greeneville Police Department responded to a residence on Kingsley Avenue around 2:45 PM Wednesday on the report of an overdose. Amanda Bitner of Chuckey Highway was administered Narcan.
Bitner told police that she had done a pinch of heroin. A brown powder totaling .2 grams was found inside her cigarette pack. A folded piece of paper was also in the cigarette pack that contained .8 grams of a white crystal substance believed to be meth.
Bitner refused to be transported to the hospital by EMS and said she would stay with someone who could keep an eye on her.
She was issued a criminal summons to appear in court for schedule 1 and 2 drug violations.
