Celebrate the 8th of August Freedom Day with two days of events starting August 8, 2025, with a Street Dance on Davis Street from 6:00 PM to midnight. The celebration continues August 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 10 PM at Coach J.J. Jones Community Park with several events going on throughout the day including: the Fannie Mae Jones Scholarship presentation, a kids’ Princess/Prince pageant, gospel music, games, inflatables, storytelling, and more.
