A Johnson City woman who left her broken down vehicle in Greene County reported it stolen this week.
The woman told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that her 2002 Chevrolet SUV messed up while she was driving on May 31 on East Andrew Johnson Highway near North Oakdale Road. The woman said she pulled the vehicle as far off the emergency lane as she could.
The victim said she saw the vehicle was still there up until June 4. The victim called local authorities to make sure the vehicle had not been towed by anyone.
A possible suspect was named in the report. The man was doing tree work for the victim and knew her vehicle was broken down. The SUV is valued at $8,000.
