Healing with Flowers, a shop located on 2570 Afton Road in Afton, will have an open house for community members today, in memory of their founder Cindi Laws.
The Open House will be from 4-8 PM at the shop and all are welcome to join. If you would like to attend consider bringing a floral bouquet for volunteers to break down and make new arrangements. The shop has a goal to exceed their one-day production record and make 150 arrangements. The arrangements will be delivered to several nursing homes.
To honor their founder’s memory, volunteers are accepting monetary donations to purchase a memorial bench for placement along the walking trail around the Greeneville Community Hospital.
As an additional fundraiser, volunteers will also be selling artificial flower arrangements for $25, which can be used for cemetery decorations or Mother’s Day gifts. Light refreshments will be served.
