A man had to be taken down by an officer Monday as he was reportedly trying to run away while being detained.
The Greeneville Police Department was patrolling the area near State Street when an officer saw the suspect, Terry L. Dean, who allegedly had active warrants in Greene County. After making contact with Dean and attempting to detain him, he reportedly tried running away. The officer had to physically take him down to the ground in order to hand cuff him.
Dean advised he had a glass pipe in his jacket, which he states he used for Methamphetamine. During a search, several baggies were found with residue, which was believed to be Meth. In addition to his warrants Dean was charged with Resisting Arrest and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
