A Greeneville Woman was arrested for Drugs after a routine traffic stop.
At around 10 p.m. last night, Greeneville police initiated a routine traffic stop at the McDonald’s on the Asheville Highway.
When making contact with the driver, it was discovered that she did not have a valid driver’s license.
A K9 Deputy was requested to come to the scene, which gave a positive alert on the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle, police located a black bag that contained a glass pipe with residue and a small container with .3 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Passenger Tessie Pafford claimed ownership and stated that she forgot the drugs were inside the vehicle.
Pafford was placed under arrest and transported to the Greene County Detention Center without incident.
