There’s plenty of events and activities to attend this weekend around town for Easter.
Those events can be found on our website under the Calendar Tab. Some activities include:
FRIDAY:
- A ‘Good Friday Outdoor Drama’ at Greenwood United Methodist Church from noon to 3 PM.
- A Glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt at Susong Memorial Church at 6:30 PM.
- An Outdoor Walk-thru Drama presenting seven scenes of the life of Jesus and guided tours, with over 50 actors, live animals, and free refreshments at Central Baptist Church from 7-9 PM.
SATURDAY:
- Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church will have their Easter Egg Hunt, with games and prizes. Hot dogs will be served following the egg hunt.
- Peoples Tabernacle Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 PM.
- Philadelphia Church of the Nazarene will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 PM.
- Hardin’s Chapel United Methodist Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 PM, with a pizza party to follow.
- Greenwood United Methodist Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 PM.
- The ‘Easter Egg Roll’ at the Andrew Johnson Homestead has been canceled due to rain.
- Harris Memorial Free Will Baptist Church will have a Kid Run at Camp Creek School track at 4:30 PM and a 5K run/walk at 5:30. There will be food trucks.
Those events are not including the Good Friday Service at Churches or the Easter Sunrise Service.
